A. What Is Required for Initial Registration?
I. Application Form
To begin a registration, the applicant must complete the application form. Before filling out the form, the applicant should know the following:

The application form is specific to the different types of business entities applying (natural persons conducting business or corporations). Therefore, the applicant must determine whether the application is for a natural person registering a business or a corporation, and the type of corporation. Information on the legal requirements for business entities can be found in Law No. 06/L-016 on Business Organizations, which can be downloaded from the official website of the Kosovo Business Registration Agency (ARBK).

Application forms can be obtained in two ways:
a) At any ARBK service center;
b) Downloaded from the official ARBK website. -
All instructions for completing the forms are available at every ARBK service center. Every intake officer is available to assist the applicant in completing all mandatory sections of the application form.
II. Submission of the Application for Registration at ARBK

Once the application form is completed, the applicant (or the authorized person) submits the application form in person at any ARBK service center, along with the required supporting documents.

The applicant or the authorized representative must identify themselves to the ARBK officer with an original identification document. If submitted by an authorized person, a signed authorization must also be presented to represent the applicant for the purpose of registration.

The intake officer will verify that the application and supporting documents are complete and acceptable by ARBK. If the application is incomplete or incorrect, the intake officer will notify and assist in clarifying and completing the application form.

The application form must be signed by the applicant or authorized representative upon submission.

There is no fee for initial business registration, while changes to an existing business are subject to fees as defined in the applicable Administrative Instruction, published on the official ARBK website.
III. Supporting Documents for Registration of a Sole Proprietorship (B.I.) or General Partnership (O.P.):

Completion of Form B,

Identification document (ID card or passport),

Consent of the registered representative pursuant to Article 24.5 (d) of Law No. 06/L-016,

For General Partnerships, the general partners' agreement pursuant to Article 31.1.3 of Law No. 06/L-016.
The registration process for Sole Proprietorships and General Partnerships at ARBK takes 2 days.
IV. Supporting Documents for Registration of a Limited Partnership (O.K.):

Completion of Form A0,

Partnership agreement pursuant to Article 32.13 of Law No. 06/L-016,

Statute,
-
Identification documents (ID cards or passports) of the owners and authorized representatives involved in the business,

Consent of the registered representative pursuant to Article 24.5 of Law No. 06/L-016.
V. Supporting Documents for Registration of a Limited Liability Company (LLC - SH.P.K.):

Completion of Form A0,

Company agreement pursuant to Article 82.1 of Law No. 06/L-016,

Statute pursuant to Article 33 of Law No. 06/L-016,
-
Identification documents (ID cards or passports) of the owners and authorized representatives involved in the business,

Consent of the registered representative pursuant to Article 24.5 of Law No. 06/L-016.
The registration process for Limited Liability Companies and Joint Stock Companies at ARBK takes 3 days.
VI. Supporting Documents for Registration of a Joint Stock Company (JSC - SH.A.):

Completion of Form A0,

Statute pursuant to Article 34.1.3 of Law No. 06/L-016,

Company agreement or regulation pursuant to Article 34.4 of Law No. 06/L-016,
-
Consent of the registered representative pursuant to Article 24.5 of Law No. 06/L-016,
-
Identification documents (ID cards or passports) of the owners and authorized representatives involved in the business.
VII. Supporting Documents for Registration of a Foreign Company - Branch in Kosovo:

Completion of Form A0,

Decision for the establishment of the foreign company’s branch,

Decision on the appointment of the Director (passport copy) and the registered representative (ID card copy),
-
Business certificate (original or notarized copy, issued no more than three months prior to submission; if not in Albanian, Serbian, or English, it must be translated into one of these three languages and the translation must be notarized),

Copy of the passport of the owner and director of the foreign company,

Copy of the statute of the foreign company,

Consent of the registered representative pursuant to Article 24.5 of Law No. 06/L-016.
Note: If the business owner is not present when submitting the documents, the application can be submitted by an authorized person along with a copy of the authorization and ID card.
VIII. Supporting Documents for Registration of an Agricultural Cooperative:

Decision on the appointment of the director,
